Clear Space Tony Party nets $106,000 for arts education

July 12, 2025

Clear Space Theatre Company held its annual Tony Party June 8, to raise funds in support of the Clear Space Arts Institute, which provides arts-based learning opportunities for young people from ages 3 through high school as well as retired adults.

Through sponsorships, ticket sales, a silent auction and a live Fund the Need auction, the event raised $106,899 — not only the highest total in Tony Party history, but also the largest amount from any single CSTC fundraising event.

During the event, guests enjoyed hearing personal stories from current Clear Space Arts Institute members along with performances from summer repertory ensemble members, including numbers from “Hairspray,” “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” and “Rent.”

“We are so grateful to the generosity of everyone across coastal Delaware who believes in the power of the arts and arts-based learning to make an impact in our region,” said Managing Director Joe Gfaller. “In 2024, we were thrilled that the Tony Party raised its largest amount to date at just over $72,000. With this powerful growth in support again in 2025, our ability to expand the impact of the Arts Institute grows even further.”
