Clifford M. Howarth Jr., land surveyor
Clifford Melvin Howarth Jr., 59, Blades, passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2015.
Cliff was born in Lewes, a son of Clifford M. Howarth Sr. and Jean Howarth of Seaford.
Cliff graduated from Seaford High School in 1974. He began his surveying career at the age of 12 with Al Temple, and went on to work for various other surveyors throughout the years. He also worked as a draftsman for Solo Cup in Federalsburg, Md.
Cliff worked in surveying since the age of 12, with Al Templer surveying. He enjoyed woodworking, construction, canoeing, camping in the mountains and his pets. He was a proud member of AA for 27 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Deborah L. Hazzard of Lewes, Cynthia J. Bennett (Alan) of Milton and Kelly L. Adams (Landy) of Seaford. Five nieces, one nephew and one great-niece also survive him.
A funeral service will be held at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home Laurel, Saturday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m., where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Boyd Etter will officiate. Interment will follow in Blades Cemetery.
