Coastal Corvette Club donates $8,000 to Delaware Hospice
The Coastal Corvette Club of Delaware presented an $8,000 check to Delaware Hospice Aug. 4 at Irish Eyes in Milton.
The money was raised at the CCC’s 2025 Corvette Extravaganza car show held June 14 at the i.g. Burton Lewes Automall. The event is one of two annual fundraisers sponsored by the club.
“I can’t thank you guys enough for helping us,” said Delaware Hospice Director of Philanthropy Peggy Dolby, who accepted the check on behalf of the agency. “It’s just amazing.”
Delaware Hospice is the leading licensed nonprofit community-based healthcare organization serving Delaware and Pennsylvania’s southern Chester and Delaware counties. Since opening in 1982, it has helped more than 170,000 patients and families.
CCC has donated nearly $58,000 to the organization since 2016, including $23,100 over the past fiscal year alone. All of the money directly benefits patients and families.
In appreciation, Dolby named the club one of Delaware Hospice’s champion community partners, which is the highest level of community partnership the agency offers.
The annual Corvette Extravaganza has benefited various organizations in the past, including the Cape Henlopen Food Basket and the Jason Anderson Foundation for Youth Sports. While presenting the check this year, CCC President Richard Addington thanked the i.g. Burton staff for making the event happen.
“It’s a great relationship that we have with the Coastal Corvette Club,” said Chris Diaferio, general manager of i.g. Burton Lewes Automall. “I was telling everyone here how much the team looks forward to the Corvette show and seeing all of you guys and gals, and the energy that it brings. We enjoy it just as much as you do, and I’m looking forward to doing it again next year.”
