Columbiettes to host day of reflection April 25

The Msgr. Francis Desmond Columbiettes of St. Jude The Apostle Parish will host a day of reflection from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 25, in the parish life center at 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes. The theme will be the Power of  Prayer.

Many people have questions about how to pray and whether God really hears their prayers. Having served in the Catholic ministry for more than 10 years, guest speaker Kara Kardell is a prolific and profound speaker on prayer. She will share her passion to create a space for real conversations with God.

Kardell is a teacher and co-founder of Draw Near, a lay apostolate, and Small Ember, a residential program for individuals wishing to deepen their spirituality.

The Columbiettes organization comprises like-minded Catholic women who foster sisterhood, service and spirituality among members. They work to protect the religious, civil and economic rights of all people, and strive to aid all members of the human family. They also work to assist brother Knights of Columbus with their endeavors.
