Congo missionary to speak at Westminster Presbyterian in Rehoboth Sept. 30

Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rehoboth Beach has announced that Jeff Boyd will speak in the WPC worship service Sunday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. All are invited to hear his message about his and his wife Christi’s mission as co-workers serving in the DR Congo. Jeff will preach and following the worship service will share slides and experiences highlighting their ministry in Africa. WPC through a partnership with other New Castle Presbytery congregations supports their ministry.

Boyd, a former math teacher, brings to his duties as regional liaison more than two decades of experience as an educator in the United States, Pakistan and Africa. Education is a priority for the partner churches with whom he works.

Since arriving in Africa in 1990, the Boyds have lived in Tanzania, Cameroon, and are now in the Congo for the second time. Both have long-standing experiences in bringing people together to address root causes of hunger and poverty.

The Boyds say they are constantly challenged in their work, and much remains to learn and work on.
