Conservation poster contest names winning students

Sussex Conservation District announced the winners for its conservation poster contest open to Delaware students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Where Would We BEE Without Pollinators was the theme.

Winners in the Grade Category K-1 were Caroline Mallon of Lewes, first place, and Addyson Bratton of Seaford, second place.

First place went to Elise Hershey of Georgetown, and Lonnie Donohue of Bridgeville placed second in Grade Category 2-3.

Grade Category 4-6 winners were Thomas Klosiewicz III of Georgetown, first place; John Klosiewicz of Georgetown, second place; and Haley Atallian of Smyrna, third place.

Brooke Elliott of Georgetown placed first in Grade Category 7-9. Sara Klosiewicz of Georgetown placed second and Ella Locklear of Georgetown placed third. 

Emma Walker of Bridgeville placed first in Grade Category 10-12.  Ashlyn Elliott of Georgetown placed second and Rachel Justice of Laurel placed third.

The annual conservation poster contest provides students an opportunity to convey their thoughts about soil, water and related natural resource issues through art.
