Coolspring Presbyterian Church will celebrate 288 years of gathering as a congregation at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 26. The Coolspring sanctuary was built in 1854; the Coolspring cemetery dates back to 1740. The church is at 28843 Log Cabin Hill Road, between Georgetown and Lewes, just off Route 9 at Joseph’s Road.
The speaker is the Rev. Dianne Deming. She is an ordained Presbyterian minister and earned her master of divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary. Deming is also a member-at-large of the New Castle Presbytery.
The Coolspring congregation invites the community to come to attend worship and then enjoy refreshments and fellowship in the community hall. The church and community hall are handicapped accessible.
