CoreLife Inc., an innovative preventive healthcare company focusing on overweight and obese individuals, and Peninsula Regional Health System have announced the formation of a new joint venture partnership, CoreLife Delmarva, to provide broader weight loss and wellness options and opportunities on the Delmarva Peninsula.
CoreLife plans to open its first center on Delmarva by Friday, June 1, in Salisbury, Md. PRHS will integrate the Peninsula Weight Loss and Wellness Center into the new partnership and will close its operation in Salisbury. All current participants will be blended into the dynamic new weight loss and lifestyle modification program.
Centers will open subsequently in other Delmarva locations which may include Millsboro. Each center will feature a unique model that combines professionals in medicine, nutrition, exercise and behavior all located in a local, convenient, and compassionate environment.
“CoreLife shares a very like-minded vision, philosophy, and approach to weight loss and wellness,” said Dr. Kathryn Fiddler, MS, RN, NE-BC, vice president of population health at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. “We both want to increase access to obesity treatment, help people reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, enhance outcomes, and improve overall health.”
The new facilities will feature a medical office staffed by licensed medical practitioners, registered dietitians, and private fitness studios with exercise equipment, dedicated trainers and more. CoreLife, which opened its first location in Severna Park, Md., five years ago, has assisted thousands of clients in successfully attaining and surpassing their goal of improved health and wellness through its multidisciplinary program, making it a leader in weight loss healthcare.
“CoreLife is committed to improving and sustaining the health of the community,” said Sean Kostkowski, CoreLife president. “This new partnership with PRHS benefits the people of the Delmarva Peninsula, who are our first priority. The CoreLife program brings additional resources and expertise, increases and improves the coordination of patient management, and reinforces our combined desire to deliver efficient, comprehensive, and high-quality care.”
