Corey Mahoney joins RE/MAX Rehoboth as sales associate

October 30, 2015

Corey Mahoney has joined RE/MAX Realty Group Rehoboth as the newest member of its dynamic sales team. Mahoney is a second-generation realtor, following in his father’s footsteps of providing exceptional customer service, said Nora Martin, broker of record of RE/MAX Rehoboth.

While Mahoney only just recently earned his real estate license, he’ll be the first to tell anyone, “I’ve been hanging around a real estate office most of my life.” His father, Tim Mahoney, has been an active realtor in the beach area for over 30 years, and Corey is carrying on the tradition of excellent customer service and real estate knowledge in southern Delaware.

He realizes that home ownership is one of the biggest accomplishments many people will achieve, and whether a client is buying or selling, he is going to make the experience as pleasant as possible.

Before joining the RE/MAX family, Mahoney was co-owner and operator of Alley Oop Skim Camp, which just celebrated its 15th year of business. “It’s been a great way to meet people both local and out-of-town,” Mahoney says. “Alley Oop has been many things over the years as a summer camp, a retail store in Delaware and Florida, and an online shop.” Mahoney looks to bring his entrepreneurial spirit to the real estate world.

He has been a local resident since the age of 3. He graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 2000 and from Virginia Wesleyan College in 2005, receiving a bachelor of arts degree in recreation management. Mahoney believes in giving back to his community. He is a member of the Dewey Beach Lions Club, an international organization geared around community service. He also serves on the committee for Epworth Skate Park, a group of parents, business owners and local skateboarders who recently built a much-needed skate park in the parking lot at Epworth United Methodist Church near Rehoboth.

Corey Mahoney is excited to join the RE/MAX Rehoboth team. “My clients are my first priority," Mahoney said. “Providing homebuyers and sellers with the opportunities the RE/MAX brand has to offer, as well as its abundant resources, is a huge benefit for them. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
