Couple charged with illegal drug distribution near Long Neck

A Maryland woman and a Millsboro man face drug and weapon charges following an investigation into narcotics distribution near Long Neck.

Members of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force and Sussex County Drug Unit executed a search warrant July 15, in connection with illegal narcotics distribution from a residence in the 27000 block of Trinity Road, police said.

Before executing the search warrant, police said a gray Subaru Crosstrek, driven by Jessica Beebe, 29, left the residence and fail to signal at Route 24 and Indian Mission Road. Detectives pulled the Subaru over, and Beebe was detained after a drug K-9 officer alerted police to the presence of narcotics. During a search of the Subaru, police said, detectives found about 3.10 grams of methamphetamine.

Inside the home and a greenhouse on the property, police said detectives found about 268.90 grams of methamphetamine; 10 marijuana plants; a .22-caliber handgun; assorted caliber ammunition; digital scales; and drug paraphernalia.

Beebe was arrested and taken to Troop 7, where she was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance tier 3, possession of a controlled substance tier 3; possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited who also possesses controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to signal. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released after posting a $18,501 secured bond.

Clyde Garrison, 38, who was not at the residence during the search warrant, turned himself in at Troop 4, where he was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance tier 3, possession of a controlled substance tier 3; possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited who also possesses controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and maintaining a drug property.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released after posting a $20,500 secured bond.
