Creativity for different learning styles is arts talk focus

November 6, 2025

Milton Arts Guild will present “Harnessing Creativity: Art for Children with Different Learning Styles” at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Milton Public Library, 121 Union St., Milton. The talk is free, and the public is encouraged to attend. Parents and children are welcome.

Noted educators Jennifer Gunther and Kizzie Cobb will discuss the power of using art with children and adults who have a variety of learning styles, including those on the autism spectrum and those with OCD. In July, the two collaborated to conduct a seven-week, after-school art program at Sussex Consortium.

Cobb holds a degree in fine arts with a concentration in photography from the University of Delaware and an art education certification from Delaware State University. She was an art educator in both public and private school settings for close to 20 years, and an Art Works for All teaching artist for 18 years.

Gunther holds master’s degrees in public administration from Delaware State University and art therapy from George Washington University. An experienced art therapist and art educator, she has been director of Art Works for All for the past 27 years. At Delaware State, she teaches courses in arts education and arts administration.

The presentation is part of the guild’s MAG Talks series, which highlights various aspects of the creation, curation and business of art.
