Up the Creek Without a Paddle with the Cape Gazette

May 30, 2020

On a beautiful Saturday in May, Sandra Wellborn, a rookie boater headed out in Rehoboth Bay for a fun day of fishing & crabbing.

Little did she know owning a boat would be so short lived. Yup, that’s right it is up for sale!

This was Sandra’s first time in her boat and it was just a little too late when she realized just how windy it was. She had not fully charged her new battery and the anchor couldn't keep her from drifting.

Luckily, about 3 hours later her great neighbor came to the rescue and towed her back in. Even though Sandra is in her 70s and loves trying new things, owning a boat just isn't her thing.
