The Lewes Board of Public Works has begun sending out notices to customers who will be impacted by planned Delmarva Power outages this fall.
The outages will be needed to relocate Delmarva Power transmission lines on Savannah Road, said BPW General Manager Austin Calaman. The work is part of the Delaware Department of Transportation’s Old Orchard Road realignment project.
Delmarva Power plans outages Thursdays, Sept. 14, Oct. 5 and Oct. 19. All will run from midnight to 4 a.m.
Calaman said the outages will affect the entire City of Lewes. He said BPW will notify and update customers based on information it receives from Delmarva Power and DelDOT.
