Cynthia Alexandria Armour, woman of faith

May 17, 2023
Cynthia Alexandria Armour, 88, of Milton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Delaware Hospice in Milford.

Cynthia was born in London, England, April 18, 1935. She was a survivor of the London Blitz.

At 21, she moved to Canada, where she met her husband of 35 years; they had six children. In 1965, they moved to the United States.

Cynthia moved to Milton in the 1990s, where she did sales in different industries. She finished her career selling real estate well into her 80s. Her voice is known from the radio ad for Go Brit in Lewes.

She loved being close to the sea, where she spent hours walking on the beach and saving horseshoe crabs.

Cynthia was an intelligent, well-read woman, who made friends easily. Everyone who met her eagerly listened to her life stories and the life lessons she happily shared.

Throughout her life, she always did volunteer work, whether it was rescuing baby raccoons, advocating for people in precarious situations, or working for the Democratic Party in Delaware.

Cynthia was a woman of faith. She has now been reunited with her sons, Matthew and Edmund; and her granddaughter, Jasmine, all of whom she loved very much.

She will be sorely missed by her daughters, Patricia and Alison; her sons, Joseph and Benedict; her grandsons, Kyle and Connor; her granddaughter, Elizabeth; and her great-grandchildren, Adley, Colton and Ryder.

There will be a small gathering to honor Cynthia in June. Reach out to her daughter, Patricia, for more information at patmost@potomacsupplies.com.
