Dale S. Carter, loved helping people

Dale S. Carter, 56, of Harbeson, beloved father and brother, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly into the peaceful arms of Jesus Christ our savior Friday, Oct. 18, 2019. Dale was born Feb. 3, 1963, in Lewes. He was the son of the late Rufus Carter Jr. and Ella Carter of Lewes. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Kelly Carter; and sister Mary Brown. Dale's greatest love in life was family, friends and good times. He loved helping people and working on cars and doing yard work. Dale will be greatly missed by the love of his life, Carla Corea of Lewes. Dale had a special friend and mentor, Emerson Jackson, who was there for him whenever he could be.  

Dale is survived by his son Darrell Snead of Lewes; one stepdaughter, Latoya Bizzare, and son-in-law Antoine Bizzare of Salisbury, Md.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Rufus Carter III of Lewes, Hiram Carter (Henrietta) of Lewes and Jeffery Carter (Mariah) of Millsboro; two sisters, Brenda Bolden of Philadelphia, Pa., and Melvina C. (Kenneth) Gibbs of Harbeson; and a special aunt, Joan Henry of Georgetown. Dale will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. 

Viewing will be Saturday, Nov. 9, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 274 North Rehoboth Blvd., Milford, from 11 a.m. to noon, where friends may call. 

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love concern and kindness shown to them during this hour of bereavement.
