Dance party to benefit Rehoboth in Bloom April 17

Rehoboth in Bloom, a subcommittee of Rehoboth Beach Main Street, will hold its fifth annual dance party fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m., Friday, April 17, at Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

Again this year, the dance music will be provided by The Funsters, a Delaware-based band that plays rock, soul and R&B. Even non-dancing attendees can join the fun and experience an entertaining show while supporting a great cause.

The event will include a silent auction with a variety of items up for bidding. Homemade desserts and soft drinks will be donated by Rehoboth in Bloom volunteers. For a cash donation, attendees can get beer and craft cocktails donated by local purveyors.

Now in its eighth year, the self-funded, community-based group maintains 112 planters and four gardens, tended by 85 volunteers two mornings a week from May through October.
