Danny K. Moore, 684 proud
Danny K. Moore, lifelong resident of Milton and 684 proud, passed away suddenly at home Friday, Dec. 12, 2025. He was 62.
Danny was born in Milford to the late Charles E. Moore Sr. and Joyce Kay (Schmierer) Moore.
Danny was a craftsman and spent his life working as a carpenter. Danny was very social and loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved all things Milton and was a social member of Broadkill VFW Post 6984, where he loved to shoot pool with his friends. He was a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School Class of 1981.
In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his two brothers, Charles E. “Chuck” Moore Jr. and Richard J. “Rich” Moore; a sister-in-law, Ruth Moore (wife of Chuck); and niece, Megan Moore.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy L. (Hurst) Moore; a daughter, Madison K. Moore; four nephews, Chris (Ashley) Moore and children Katelynn and Jackson, R.J. Moore (Ashley Bailey) and children Croix and Wesson, Chaz Moore, Billy (Kelly) Turner Jr. and children Cody, Jaxson, Bryce and Zoey; one niece, Lindsay Wilson; his stepmother, Donna F. Moore (wife of Charles Sr.); step-sister, Teet Sharp; aunt, Norlyn F. Ritter; and sisters-in-law, Denise Moore (wife of Rich) and Kelly (Steve) Wilson.
A Celebration of Life for Danny will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 20, at Broadkill VFW, 1000 Atlantic Ave., Milton.
Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Services in Milton.
