David E. Ehrlich, Gavco Industries owner

It is with great sadness that the family of David Edward Ehrlich, 71, of Lewes, formerly of Seattle, Wash., announces his passing Friday, Sept. 14, 2018.  

David was born in Tulsa, Okla., March 27, 1947, to the late David and Marie (Heflin) Ehrlich.  He was a graduate of Russell High School in Russell, Kan., in 1965, and received his master’s degree in business management from Central Michigan University in 1992.  

He married Connie (Litz) Ehrlich Aug. 1, 1975, in Manhattan, Kan.  He worked for Martin Marietta Aerospace in Baltimore, Md., for 12 years, taught business management at Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, Ore., and prior to his retirement owned Gavco Industries, a custom office manufacturing company near Seattle.  Dave and Connie moved to Lewes in 2014.

David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Connie Ehrlich; their children, Jennifer Crew and David Ehrlich; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Ehrlich; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and may close friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ehrlich.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
