Decluttering the mind workshop for teens set April 5

March 30, 2023

Mental Health Alternatives Inc. invites preteens, teens and young adults to its decluttering the mind workshop for emotional and mental clarity from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, at HealTree, 1632 Savannah Road, Lewes.

MHA co-founders Elizabeth Sanchez, Amy Casas and Diane Winiarczyk will share strategies to manage stress and negative thoughts; techniques to improve focus and concentration; methods for developing a positive mindset; and ways to create a sense of inner peace and calm. Special guest Jill Latina from Studio 1 Rehoboth will lead the group through movement with yoga.Light refreshments will be provided. Event cost is $10 per person and space is limited.

In early March, MHA hosted goal setting using the law of attraction workshop event for local teens. The teens participated in learning techniques to set and implement goals, how to overcome fears that may hold them back and how to use crystal grids to live with intention. Feedback from participants and their parents was quite positive. They are enjoying the activities, the small group size and sharing real-life experiences with their peers.

MHA is a local nonprofit supporting teens by sharing experiences and tools to help them manage everyday stress, anxiety and upset.

MHA encourages local teens to attend monthly events and apply for scholarships for a direct experience with local health and wellness practitioners. To register or apply for a scholarship for the April 5 program, go to mentalhealthalternatives.org/events.
