Del Tech nursing students collect donations for Alana Rose Foundation

May 5, 2017

Students in the Owens Campus Practical Nursing Program recently collected toys, kitchen items, cleaning supplies, books and craft items to donate to the Alana Rose Foundation. This foundation gathers a variety of items for the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware in Wilmington to help families whose children are being cared for at Nemours/AI duPont Children's Hospital.

Students currently taking the Essentials of Maternal Child Health course, who are studying safe nursing practices for women and children, responded enthusiastically to the collection effort.

Alexa Shoultes, a Human Services student, led the project on the Owens Campus and was on hand to receive the gifts that will be delivered. The next collection period at the Owens Campus will be in September. For more information, go to www.thealanarosefoundation.org.
