Delaware Diabetes Coalition Wellness Expo set Nov. 19 in Dover

The 18th Annual Wellness Expo hosted by the Delaware Diabetes Coalition will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Dover Downs Conference Center, 1131 N. Dupont Hwy., Dover. This event is free to the public, and lunch is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

The expo brings together healthcare providers, businesses, diabetes-related organizations and others to promote diabetes self-management and healthier lifestyles for people with diabetes. It will include nearly 50 exhibitors and health screeners, an educationally packed program presented by community health leaders, and raffle giveaways.

Free flu shots will be provided by Delaware Division of Public Health - Southern Health Services, and a keynote presentation will be given by Dr. Nira Madisi, an endocrinologist at Bayhealth Medical Group. For the first time, a panel of patients will discuss how they manage their diabetes with innovative and evolving advancements in technology and design. Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long will present during lunch on Diabetes in Delaware.
