Delaware website honored with Best of Web Award
Secretary of the Department of Technology and Information James Sills has announced that Delaware has been awarded first place in the 2012 Best of the Web Contest.
DTI’s website, www.dti.delaware.gov/information/cybersecurity.shtml, was voted the best state government site for promoting cyber security awareness and information. “This award is a testament to the Delaware team’s hard work and dedication over the past months to improve our site and continue bringing important cyber security information to Delaware’s citizens,” said Delaware Chief Information Officer Elayne Starkey. Delaware’s cyber security website offers the latest information on cyber security news, events, videos and tools.
The Parents Page offers resources for keeping children safe on the internet. A special section for kids provides links to games, puzzles and videos designed to protect them from cyber bullying and online predators. There is also a notification service where citizens can sign up for email security alerts and advisories. Valuable information for all website visitors is just a click away.
The Best of the Web Contest was sponsored by the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center. MS-ISAC is a division of the Center for Internet Security and the focal point for cyber threat prevention, protection, response and recovery for the nation’s state, local, territorial and tribal governments.
DTI will be sponsoring a number of cyber security education and awareness activities and events during fall 2012 in honor of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, which kicked off in October.
