Delmarva Broadcasting to launch newest radio station Sept. 4

Delmarva Broadcasting Co., recognized as Delaware’s leading electronic news provider, has announced the launch of Delaware’s newest radio station, Delaware 105.9, serving Kent and Sussex counties.

The station will commence operations Tuesday, Sept. 4, featuring a blend of authoritative local, regional, national and international news coverage presented hourly; Delaware’s own Trafficwatch coverage and weather updated several times per hour; and entertaining, informative and provocative talk anchored by Delmarva’s signature talk host Dan Gaffney, who will be joined by respected local and national hosts in a presentation that is unique in the region.

“We look for Delaware 105.9 to quickly become the go-to source for the important information, stimulating opinion and unparalleled companionship with the talent and resources for which Delmarva Broadcasting is known,” said Regional General Manager Mike Kazala. “We look forward to announcing the full programming lineup within the next few weeks.”

Delmarva Broadcasting operates several other successful stations on Delmarva including adult hits Eagle 97.7, 97.5 Cat Country, Classic Hits Cool 101.3, Oldies 97.1 The Wave, News-talk WICO AM & FM, and La Exitosa 930 AM, Delaware’s leading Spanish language station. In northern Delaware, the Delmarva Broadcasting family includes Delaware 105.9’s information partner, and Delaware’s station of record, News-talk WDEL 1150 AM, Adult Hits WSTW 93.7 and WXCY 103.7 The Country Station.
