Delmarva Christian holds athletic signings for 2019-20 class

Royals senior Andrew Workman signs to play basketball at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, Pa. Workman was named Player of the Year in the ESIAC this season. He was also the first Royals player to be chosen All-State in boys’ basketball and the first to reach the 1,000-point milestone. He was chosen Most Outstanding Player in basketball for 2020. Delmarva Christian High School held college signings May 18 at the Royals Georgetown campus. Ten Royals from the Class of 2020 made it official what their college teams will be in the fall. Social distancing, a 45-minute cushion between athletes and appropriate sanitation were observed.
“DCHS Is very excited and proud to send these talented 10 seniors off to play at the collegiate level,” said Delmarva Christian athletic director Jim Berger. ”This amazing group represents 30 percent of our senior athletes. We pray that their collegiate experience will be as fun and successful as their time at DCHS.”
Along with the signings, the Delmarva Christian Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards for 2019-20 were presented to Andrew Workman and Ashlyn Stonebraker.

Royals senior Wyatt Kwiatkowski signs to play basketball at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, Pa. Wyatt was All-Conference in the ESIAC this past season and became the Royals’ all-time assist leader. He is shown with his parents Matt and Wendy.

Royals senior Michael Briggs signed to play baseball at Delaware Tech in Georgetown. Michael delivered with a career batting average of .500, and he was chosen All-ESIAC for three years. Shown with Michael are his parents Michael Sr. and Tina Spence.

Royals senior Abby Agapito signed to play field hockey at Eastern University in St. Davids, Pa. Abby was All-ESIAC for three years in field hockey and was chosen Most Outstanding Player for field hockey in 2019. She also excelled in basketball and soccer. Shown with Abby are her parents Joanne and Mario.

Royals senior Isabel Dypski signed to swim for Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Shown with Isabel are her parents Leia and Jason, and brother Isiah.

Royals senior Matt Jensen signs to play lacrosse at Delaware Tech in Dover. He was all-ESIAC in 2019. Shown with Matt are his parents Drew and Kim.

Senior Brayden Smith signed to run cross country at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota. He was also a member of the Royals volleyball team. Shown with Brayden are his parents Kim and Scott.

Savannah Stewart signs to play volleyball at Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga. Savannah was All-ESIAC this year in volleyball and also excelled in basketball. She was also on the softball squad. She is shown with her parents Jeff and Sherry.

Senior Layton Rush signs to play soccer for the Columbia International University Rams, who play in the National Christian College Athletic Association. Layton was All-ESIAC in 2019. Shown with Layton are his parents Kelley and Kevin.

Senior Noah Walton signs to play soccer at Division II Boyce College in Louisville, Ky. Brayden was All-ESIAC in 2019. Shown with Noah is his coach/father Dan.

Senior Ashlyn Stonebraker sets her 1,000th assist against Sussex Central this season. She is the Royals Female Athlete of the Year for 2019-20.
