Delmarva Christian middle and high school students stepped away from typical academics and into a powerful time of worship, teaching and fellowship during Spiritual Emphasis Day 2025.
Middle school students participated in an extended chapel experience on campus, engaging in breakout sessions focused on faith-building and personal reflection.
High school students took part in a full-day experience at United Church in Milford, which graciously hosted the event. This year’s theme – Testify! Impact! Shout! – challenged students to boldly live out their faith in their daily lives.
The United Church worship team, including current Delmarva Christian student Jonas Matthews and alumna Amaya Wright, led multiple worship sessions that created an atmosphere of joy, surrender and connection with God.
Students also participated in breakout sessions and heard from two dynamic speakers. Nick Wake, associate pastor at United Church, shared his personal testimony, inspiring students to listen for and respond to God's calling. Jim Peper, pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church, encouraged students to shine where they are, step confidently into their calling, and find their purpose, place and people in their faith journey.
Spiritual Emphasis Day remains a cornerstone event at Delmarva Christian, offering students a break from academics to focus on their spiritual growth and relationship with Christ.
“We are deeply thankful for United Church and their incredible staff for welcoming us with open arms and making this day possible,” said Chloe Hackett, high school principal. “The impact of Testify! Impact! Shout! will continue to resonate in the hearts of our students as they return to their daily lives, equipped and encouraged to boldly live out their faith.”
