Demolition underway at former Rehoboth High School

December 16, 2019

With asbestos removal complete, demolition of Rehoboth Elementary’s big building is underway.

The school’s footprint will soon house basketball and pickle ball courts and amenities such as a pavilion, benches and outdoor classroom seating. An archway with the school’s original name and 1939 cornerstone will oversee a sidewalk, made with the sand-colored bricks of the old school, that leads to Turtle Bridge.

The little Rehoboth Elementary was demolished in August, just before the opening of the new school.
