Am I the only person who finds the proliferation and abundance of development signs all over our roadways and street corners objectionable? These signs are an eyesore and an affront to the beauty and quality of life in our communities. Despite assertions that the county or local governments supervise and remove these signs, the fact is that none are removed and they continue to increase weekly. In many locations, there are six to eight of the same signs in one place or signs strewn along a highway for miles. What is it going to take to create and enforce an ordinance that prohibits this unsavory practice? One sign at the entrance to each development only should be the rule. Any other signage should require prior government approval.
