Dewey Beach Police seeking Anthony A. Allen of Millsboro

The Dewey Beach Police Department has identified Anthony A. Allen, 34, of Millsboro, as a person involved in a felony assault that occurred about 1:30 a.m., Aug. 19, and are currently seeking his whereabouts.

The incident occurred on the ocean side of Coastal Highway between Bellevue Street and Dagsworthy Avenue. Police said several individuals were engaged in a fight when Allen struck the victim, 19, of Milton, causing several facial fractures and a brain injury. The victim was airlifted to Christiana Care and is recovering.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Allen, but he has failed to turn himself in. If anyone has any video or photographs of the incident or can identify the whereabouts of Allen, contact the Dewey Beach Police Department  at 302-227-1110 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
