Less than a year after opening its new brewery in Harbeson, Dewey Beer Company has now opened its own pizza joint next door: Pizza Machine.
Dewey Beer Company co-founder Brandon Smith said, “We all need pizza in our lives. It makes all the sense in the world to provide food at our Harbeson location.”
Pizza Machine, which opened Jan. 19, is run by Dewey Beer Company director of culinary Andy Wehrle. The restaurant has a simple menu: wood-fired pizzas and salads.
Smith said Pizza Machine, located adjacent to the brewery near the corner of Harbeson Road and Route 9, serves on a to-go order basis only, although customers at the brewery are welcome to eat there and those not stopping in for a drink can order to-go via phone or on Pizza Machine’s website.
The Harbeson brewery had generally had food available by food truck since opening in spring 2021, but Smith said it is a big boost to be able to have their own place on-site.
Pizza Machine is open at the same time as the brewery, from 12 to 9 p.m. Orders can be placed by calling 302-329-9732 or at Pizza Machine’s website, pizzamachinede.com.
