Hudson Fields Concerts announced Feb. 28 the addition of two American reggae performances, Dirty Heads and SOJA, to its summer concert lineup. Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 3 on the venue’s website, hudsonfields.com.
Dirty Heads was founded in 2006 by Jared “Dirty J” Watson and Dustin “Duddy B” Bushnell in Orange County, Calif., and has roots in reggae and ska. The group’s latest album is “Dirty Heads,” released in July 2016. The band is also known for work including its debut album, “Any Port in a Storm,” and followup albums “Cabin by the Sea,” “Phantoms of Summer” and “Sound of Change.”
SOJA, which stands for Soldiers of Jah Army, is a Grammy-nominated reggae band based in Arlington, Va. The eight-member band was founded in 1997. The group’s third full-length album “Born in Babylon” made it to No. 11 on the Top Heatseekers chart, while its 2012 album, “Strength to Survive” topped the Billboard Reggae Album Chart.
Hudson Fields’ first concert is slated for Thursday, June 1, and will feature the country music act Old Dominion.
