Peter Erwin Hodge, self-employed carpenter

Peter Erwin Hodge, 34 of Harbeson, formerly of Lewes, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.
 
Pete was born in Gaithersburg, Md., Feb. 15, 1982, son of Wayne Lee Hodge and Pamela Estelle Clough Hodge Harbin.  He was a self-employed carpenter and mason by trade.  Pete enjoyed creating things with his hands, from restoring old cars to working with wood and masonry. He enjoyed water sports, helping others, and spending time with nature.  Pete will be remembered as a loving, doting father, beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend.  
 
He is survived by his son, Jaxson Joseph Hodge; his mother, Pamela Estelle (Clough) Harbin and her husband and stepdad Jim; his father, Wayne Hodge and his wife Maribeth of LaCrosse, Va.; paternal grandmother, Sarah Joan Hodge-Wilson; four brothers, Brandon his two sons Brandon II, Trey and daughter Madison, and their mother Jennifer Hodge; Curtis and his son Kevin; and Eric and Andrew Hodge; two sisters, Kaitlin Hodge and Alysia Sargent and her son Wyatt; seven aunts and uncles, Belinda Simmons, Darlene Dollens, Gary Hodge, David Harbin, Bruce Harbin, Judy Burke and Marty Harbin.  He is also survived by Jaxson’s mother, Christina Kapraun.  
His loving grandma Catherine Clough predeceased him last year Feb. 27, 2015.
 
A celebration of Pete’s life was held Saturday, June 25, at 21060 Doddtown Road, Harbeson. It was a beautiful day to celebrate his life. Thank you to all that attended and those who couldn't and supported us with loving thoughts and prayers.
