Dogfish hosts ‘Survivor’ challenge ahead of 50th season premiere
Editor’s note: The “Survivor” season 50 premiere is scheduled to air at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25 on CBS.
Prior to the 50th season premiere of CBS’s “Survivor” Feb. 25, fans of the show in the Cape Region and beyond came out to Dogfish Head brewery in Milton to take part in a scavenger hunt to find an immunity idol of their own.
The hunt was part of the Survivor 50 Challenge, an event held in all 50 states in which those who find the hidden immunity idol have the chance to attend the live finale in Los Angeles.
More than 700 people came to Dogfish to take part in the hunt Feb. 15, when visitors were able to pose with an immunity idol, meet “Survivor” season 47 alum Sierra Wright and try Dogfish’s Coconut Etiquette beer, a hazy IPA brewed with toasted coconut, dehydrated coconut water and passion fruit.
Dogfish founder Sam Calagione said, "The Calagione biological family and the Dogfish family have been longtime fans of Survivor. The way it brings people together in teams to prove that our differences make us stronger is an inspiring message, especially in these polarizing times. Congrats to everyone at the Survivor mothership on the 50th season. It's super inspiring to all of us at Dogfish as we enter our fourth decade as community builders inspired by this community's singular work."
