VIA donates gas cards to What is Your Voice

Village Improvement Association members recently made a surprise visit to the Zwaanandael Women’s Club to donate $700 in gas gift cards to Jackie Sterbach, What Is Your Voice executive director.

Maribeth Dockety, VIA domestic and sexual violence awareness and prevention committee chair, presented the cards to Sterbach and Jacqueline Valentine, a survivor of abuse.

Dockety spoke about the ongoing need for these services in the local area. The cards from Royal Farms and Wawa will help provide transportation for What is Your Voice clients, enabling them to go to job interviews, medical appointments and more.
