Lewes Fire Department President Wally Evans’ recent remarks that when firefighters receive a fire call, no questions are ever asked about race, color, creed or anything other identity group, and that “if you dial 911, we’re coming” are an inspiration.
When I called 911 on behalf of my now late wife, they came, twice. I then made a contribution for their new truck, and now I intend more.

Criticism of public figures is permissible. Endorsement letters for political candidates are no longer accepted. Letters must be the author’s original work, and may not be generated by artificial intelligence tools. Templates, form letters and letters containing language similar to other submissions will not be published.
