Dorian forces cancellations

Hurricane Dorian is creating stormy conditions in the Cape Region Sept. 6, forcing cancellation of the following events. Check back for updates.

• The Milton Farmers Market has been cancelled for Friday, Sept. 5. 

• The Milton Historical Society will be closed Friday, Sept. 6. MHS will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.

• Cape's scheduled field hockey game tonight at 6:30 p.m. at DE Turf versus Notre Dame Prep has been postponed. No information on a rescheduled date. The Vikings will play South River at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at DE Turf.

The Friday, Sept. 6, evening sculpting lessons on Rehoboth Beach have been cancelled due to the current weather conditions. At this time, the RBDBCC Sandcastle Contest on Saturday, Sept. 7, on Rehoboth Beach will go on as scheduled.  If necessary, decisions regarding a cancellation will be made no later than 8 a.m. Saturday morning.  Any weather-related updates will be posted to the Chamber’s Facebook & Instagram pages and a phone recording will be available at 302-227-6446.  There is no rain date for this event.
