June 19, 2020

Dover Downs Hotel and Casino entered Phase 2 of Gov. Carney’s economic reopening plan June 15.

This phase allows for extended hours of operation, restaurant openings, additional slot machines and the hotel reopening. The only available entrance to the casino is still the valet entrance in the Colonnade.

As a part of Phase 2, Dover Downs may operate with a maximum occupancy of 60 percent allowed by current fire code on the casino floor.

Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday to Monday, with the weekends open for 24-hour operation. Table games will open in accordance with state and lottery guidelines. An additional 166 slot machines are available for play.

As of June 18, the hotel is operating at 60 percent occupancy and is currently accepting reservations as well as honoring those booked prior to the closure. Hotel guests may use the hotel valet entrance and must complete the required temperature check and medical screening prior to checking in. At this time, valet services, business center, fitness room and pool will be unavailable.

Jerry Longo’s Meatballs & Martinis is open with a curated menu including the Longo’s Classic Meatball Salad.

The Garden Café, which reopened during Phase 1, is offering a more comfortable version of sit-down dining service.

The bars in both locations will be open, with eight-foot social distancing guidelines in effect. Guests of the same household can sit together.

Sweet Perks Too will remain open for grab-and-go service.
