Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship goes to Milford senior

May 19, 2022

The CenDel Foundation recently announced Milford High School senior Olivia Muir is the 2022 recipient of a scholarship from the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship Fund.

Muir will be attending the University of Lynchburg this fall and plans to pursue biomedical studies.

"Winning the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship represents an opportunity to me. The scholarship will help fund my education at the University of Lynchburg, where I plan to obtain a biomedical degree. Obtaining this degree will allow me to enter medical school where I strive to obtain a medical degree specializing in the field of dermatology. Receiving this scholarship solidifies that someone besides my family believes in me and my abilities, thus boosting my confidence as I prepare for college this fall. I would like to thank the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship Fund and the CenDel foundation for investing in me as I pursue my dreams,” said Muir.

The late Dr. Graybeal, the scholarship’s namesake, understood the value of financial aid and established the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship Fund to grant scholarships to students pursuing higher education. The CenDel Foundation is committed to helping generous people transform the community through charitable giving. Since 2008, the foundation has distributed more than $3 million in grants and funding to a variety of organizations in central Delaware, improving the lives of those living in Kent County.
