Earl Edward Davis, charter boat captain
Earl Edward Davis, 81, of Milton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at his residence. He was born Monday, Nov. 20, 1933, in Willards, Md., son of the late James and Jennie (Truitt) Davis.
Mr. Davis enjoyed a lengthy career as an automotive salesman, owning and operating Earl's Auto Sales in Milton. His greatest love though was fishing! Mr. Davis was a charter boat captain for 30 years, chartering his boat "No Problem" out of Lewes, which was anything but "No Problem." His boating days have left many memories for his sons to recount for years to come.
Mr. Davis is survived by his two sons, Jim Davis of Lewes, and Allen Davis and his significant other Denise Fogarty of Lewes; four grandsons, Bud Davis and his wife Sharon, Damian Davis, and Shannon Davis, all of Wilmington, and Joshua Davis of Ocean City, Md.; four great-granddaughters, Cecily Davis, Chasity Davis, Cali Davis and Katelyn Davis, all of Wilmington; one great-grandson, Christopher Davis, also of Wilmington; and all his beloved fishing friends.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the services at White's Chapel Cemetery, 15373 Coastal Highway, Milton.
