Ecobay Kayak and Stand Up Paddle celebrates 11th year in business

May 23, 2015

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 15 to celebrate Ecobay Kayak and Stand Up Paddle’s 11th year in business.

Located in the quiet resort area of Ocean View on a 150-acre nature preserve known as The James Farm Ecological Preserve, Ecobay is a partner of the Center for the Inland Bays, providing an educational yet fun experience on the back bays and marshland.

Ecobay allows visitors to experience the James Farm Ecological Preserve's three miles of secluded white sand beaches, shallow water perfect for kids, and observation towers. Horseshoe crabs, nesting osprey chicks, terrapin turtles, dolphins, and series of marsh islands that act as a bird nesting ground are all part of the area.

Ecobay offers guided trips on kayak or SUP in the morning as well as hourlong sunset paddles. Full moon paddles and children's camps are some of the specialty paddles. Rentals are available any time of day with no age requirement.

Experience isn't necessary, and a mini-lesson is included with every paddle. For more information, go to www.ecobaykayak.com or call 302-841-2722.
