Ed and Marian Coleman honored for service to Lewes

October 23, 2014

Longtime Lewes residents Ed and Marian Coleman, shown at the installation of a park bench in their honor at the George H. P. Smith Park at Blockhouse Pond, were honored recently for their generous service to the Lewes community.

Ed spent seven years volunteering with the parks and recreation department to keep the playground at the pond in good working condition, while Marian continues weekly volunteer work at Beebe Healthcare.

The bench is near the newly installed bocce court near the playground.

Mayor Ted Becker signed a proclamation in October recognizing their service to the community.
