Education reform is League of Women Voters topic April 14
The Sussex County League of Women Voters will present a talk on “Current Efforts to Make Delaware Education More Equitable" at its League, Libations and Learning social gathering set for 12 to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, at Tiki Jac's Street Eats & Brews, 71 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
Joe Pika, professor emeritus of political science and international relations at the University of Delaware and former president of the Delaware Board of Education, will discuss school funding and district consolidation. Two major reform efforts are moving toward consideration by the General Assembly that could affect Sussex County schools.
