The Department of Safety and Homeland Security presented its Choice Award of the Quarter to Kevin Eickman for his outstanding work ethic and extraordinary effort to meet the needs of the customers served by the Division of Communications. Eickman, of Lincoln, is a communications system specialist with the Division of Communications.
As a member of the Division of Communications, Eickman works with a team of individuals who are tasked with maintaining the state’s 800 MHz emergency communications system and more than 21,000 radios associated with the system. Eickman, who joined the division in 2001, was recognized for his exemplary work on a daily basis and in the completion of a communications project with Delaware State University and the Delaware National Guard.
“Kevin’s commitment to excellence each and every day is a testament to his character. He is truly a public servant who performs his duties beyond expectations. In addition, he is a leader and mentor to his peers,” said Department of Safety and Homeland Security Secretary Lewis Schiliro.
