Elaine G. Woerner, 80, of Cape May, N.J., formerly of Hockessin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, April 2, 2026.
She is survived by her loving husband, John A. Woerner; her son, Jonathan P. Woerner (Amy); her three cherished grandchildren; her two brothers; and two sisters.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 9, at Doherty Funeral Home, Pike Creek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, April 10, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
