Elevated Community Development Corp. provides job skills, employs parolees

Elevated Community Development Corp. is a tax-exempt workforce development organization that seeks to employ probationers, parolees and individuals in work release, giving them an opportunity learn marketable job skills and earn a living wage.

The organization offers employment and training in trade areas such as carpentry and plumbing, and additional jobs in painting, landscaping and cleaning. Future opportunities include marketing and public relations, social media and web design, and transportation.

Local companies looking for employees and willing to hire probationers and parolees may contact Elevated CDC for potential employees.

Elevated CDC will prescreen employees and provide wrap-around services to ensure employees’ success.

Partnerships with local financial and educational institutions, state agencies and small businesses help to provide resources to meet the varying needs of ECDC employees and their families. Services include financial literacy and homeownership counseling, entrepreneurship training and development, adult education and more.

Workshops and programs are provided to assist employees reach their goals while earning above-minimum-wage jobs. Elevated CDC is hiring in Sussex County, with plans to expand to all three counties.

Elevated CDC is raising funds to help pay wages of probationers and parolees, and also to assist with payment for individuals living in hotels. The organization is in need of vehicles for transportation and to carry supplies between sites, as well as tools for new hires and trainees. Elevated CDC doesn’t offer second chances, it offers opportunities.
