Elizabeth Dorman Thomas, services set

Elizabeth “Betty” Dorman Thomas passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at the Manor House in Seaford where she had resided for many years. Betty was born Feb. 19, 1926, in Lewes, the daughter of Albert and Mae (Ritter) Dorman.

She was a graduate of Lewes High School class of 1944. She sang in the choir at Bethel United Methodist Church, Lewes until she married the Rev. Edwin C. Thomas Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Joshua Allyn Thomas and her husband. Betty is survived by two sons, Edwin C. Thomas III (Karen) of Williamsburg, Va., and Neil E. Thomas (Susan) of Dunnellen, Fla., and their families. Her surviving siblings are Joan Moore, Sarah Rickards, Susan Stone and Al Dorman.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Trinity Methodist Church, Salisbury, Md., with Rev. Karen Bunnell officiating. Visitation will start at 10 a.m with the service at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in Jackson Hall.
