Enjoying a Panama Canal cruise with the Gazette

June 22, 2019

In March, Cape Gazette readers Mike & Carole Upman of Lewes enjoyed a Panama Canal Cruise from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to San Diego, California. They enjoyed many stops along the way including Huatulco, Mexico and Corinto, Nicaragua.

Here they are pictured in Cartagena, Colombia standing in front of the flag of Colombia. It symbolizes Colombian independence from Spain, gained on July 20, 1810. The yellow represents the riches of the country, the blue represents the seas on Colombia’s shores, the rivers that run through, and the sky above and the red represents the blood spilled for Colombia’s independence.
