Eugene Nicholas Melchiorre III, proud veteran

Eugene Nicholas Melchiorre III, 62, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was born June 23, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of  Dolores Josephine (DeMaio) Melchiorre and the late Eugene Melchiorre Jr.

Eugene attended Sun Valley High School in Boothwyn, Pa. He was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Army.  An outdoorsman to his core, Eugene enjoyed fishing and camping. His skilled artisanship was evidenced by his love of creating jewelry and working with gemstones. He truly treasured time spent with his family, above all. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, cousin, and friend. Loved by many, he will be forever missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to this father, Eugene was preceded in death by his brother James T. Melchiorre; and his cousin Frank DeMaio. He is survived by his beloved mother, Dolores Melchiorre; his aunts, Caroline Melchiorre and Anna Taylor, both of Aston, Pa.; his uncle, Patrick Melchiorre of Aston; his cousins, Debbie Russell and Alex DeMaio of Newark, Linda Riley (Mark) of Plantation, Fla., and Sandy Richabaugh of Millsboro; and his beloved dog, Harry. 

Services are private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
