An evening of musical elegance with 5th Avenue set Nov. 10 at Milton Theatre

Jazz meets the Great American Songbook in 5th Avenue. Their unique arrangements, both vocal and instrumental, exude a level of intimacy, virtuosity and elegance that have been delighting audiences wherever they appear. Milton Theatre will present An Evening of Musical Elegance with 5th Avenue at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10.

On sax is Ken Cicerale, a former student of legendary saxophonists Gerry Niewood and Frank Foster. Cicerale has performed for many years as both leader and sideman with various jazz and pop ensembles in the greater New York area. On piano and vocals is Vincent Varrassi, a Milton local who has performed for years with his six- and eight-piece show band, A Touch of Class. In that time he worked with many outstanding musicians and vocalists performing music across all eras. On percussions/vocals is Ken Schleifer, a lifelong professional performer who has had the opportunity to perform in many musical groups from a small jazz trio to big bands, classic and modern rock, R&B, blues, Latin and contemporary pop bands all over the East Coast.
