Farmer’s Christmas slated at agricultural museum Dec. 1

November 27, 2018

Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village will present A Farmer’s Christmas from 12 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, in Dover.

Attendees can enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday while the museum and village are transformed into a Christmas wonderland. In the main building, young visitors can try their hand at a variety of holiday crafts such as paper quilling, bead wreaths and yarn dolls, or they can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Young and old can sip hot cider while listening to a variety of holiday musical performances or observe the many artisans demonstrating their crafts.

Outside, visitors can take a stroll down the Avenue of Trees, consisting of more than 40 decorated trees, and step back in time as they enter the authentic 1890s village where carolers will be singing traditional Christmas music and a live nativity scene will be at the church.

Museum members are admitted free; nonmembers pay regular museum admission of $3 to $7. For more information, go to www.agriculturalmuseum.org.
