Fay Jacobs’ show Still Aging Gracelessly at CAMP Rehoboth April 14

April 1, 2019

Back from a sold-out road tour, humorist Fay Jacobs will offer her one-woman show for a single performance at home.

“Still Aging Gracefully: 50 Shades of Fay” will be performed at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 14, at the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Proceeds benefit CAMP Rehoboth.

Hundreds of locals and visitors have enjoyed the show at a dozen performances at CAMP Rehoboth, Milton Theatre, MCC Rehoboth and more local venues since its premiere in 2015. Jacobs has not performed here in a year, and the show has new material reflecting current events and outrages.

The show is a hilarious and heartfelt oral memoir based in large part on her writing for Letters from CAMP Rehoboth, where she has been an award-winning columnist for the past 23 years.

Jacobs has toured with this show up and down the East Coast, from Provincetown to New York City, to Asheville, New Hope, New Orleans and all over Florida. She’s performed the show aboard an Olivia cruise and at the legendary Duplex Cabaret on Christopher Street in New York’s Greenwich Village.

The show features the moving story of the LGBT fight for equality, plus some outrageous stories and lots of local color.

At its core, the show highlights the author’s insistence that nothing is ever so horrible if it’s worth the story one can tell. The show has Jacobs’ signature humor and relatable stories for everyone about life, liberty and the aging process.

Tickets are $20. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.camprehoboth.com.
